If you're a new member, make sure you read these rules. If you get in trouble for doing something that was agianst these rules, that proves you didn't read them, which may lead for temporary or permanant banning. We don't want that! So just read the rules and obey them, they're simple too.
Rule 1. NO SPAMMING! Absolutely none at all. Spamming sucks, alright? It's annoying, pathetic, ignorant, and if you do it, there's a number of things that could happen.
*Do it once, you get a warning.
*Twice, you're banned for a week.
*On the third time, you're banned for good.
No exceptions. I've seen forums with a lot of spamming going on, and for one, I'm not tolerating it, because it ruins everything, and admins/mods have to constantly delete spam posts, which is a pain in the ass if you ask me.
Rule 2. Do NOT re-register if you already have made an account with us. Why? Because I can send you your password or username back if you give me your [old] e-mail address. There's no need to register yourself again. If you wish to have your display name changed, just ask me and I'd be glad to change it for you! (Though your 'username' will always be what you go by, such as when someone sends a PM to you, they'll send it via your original name when you first joned)
Rule 3. Avatars can only be 100 x 100 in pixels. Proboards, thankfully, automatically makes sure you follow this rule, or it resizes your icon for you by defult size (60 x 60), which makes it look crappy.
As for signatures, no sizes bigger than 365 x 300 in pixels. The fourm may stretch if you have a signature bigger than what it should be.
Rule 4. No adult content at all. No nudity, links to adult content, images or anything overrated on this forum. Also, no sexual language (as in stuff like 'cyber sex') or sexual harassment. Ever consider the possibility that there could be kids using this forum? Or maybe people who've had bad experiences with that kind of stuff which lead to them being emotionally screwed up from it? They have the right to be protected from that, so do them and others a favor and keep things clean. If you wanna show your friends that kind of stuff, that's what PM's and IM's are for.
Oh, and no, I'm not going to make people who don't wish to be exposed to adult content modify their profile settings to "Display No Images/Avatars/Signatures".
Rule 5. No recreating a topic that has already been created. It'll be deleted. If you wish to post on an older topic that has long been abandoned, check back at the forums daily 'cause I'm considering making a board titled "Classic Threads" that'll let you do so.
Rule 6. Please post in the right category. Another admin or I will have to move your post if you break this rule, and it could have been easier if you just post in the correct place. Make sure you know what the hell your posting about before you post it, dude!
Rule 7. PLEASE! Don't post on topics just for the post count. I know a lot of people are always in conpetition for "the most posts" or whatever, just because they want to have a greater ranking before someone else. Look, this isn't a contest, so just relax and just post again on a topic if you're actually posting and not just trying to get your count up.
Rule 8. Any thread that hasn't been posted in for a week is getting deleted. Inactive threads are useless, so they'll only be revived if 3 or more people request it in the suggestions section.
Rule 9. NO arguing in threads, alright? Arguments, like Rule 4, must be conversed elsewhere. People don't need to be seeing arguments in threads they're trying to post in, it isn't right. Same applies to flaming of our forum, if you don't like it, don't join.
Rule 10. You must NOT type a post like: "LOL" or "Yeah" and that's it. That's very close to Rule 1, and act like it is.
Rule 11. No creating more than one user name. Just one simple question to that is: What the hell would you do that for? If you want another account because you don't wish to have the same user name anymore, than tell me and I'll change it for ya!
Rule 12. Don't make posts with nothing but ".........." and "!!!!!!!". It's yet another type of spam, so don't just make one simple post using those characters.
Rule 13. DON'T BE STUPUD ! ! !
Rule 14. We ban emos, got it? So if you're a emo fag, save yourself and don't join our fucking forum.
- And that's all for now, hopefully forever. Twelve rules isn't so bad (well, you break rule 13 if you break any of the others). And I hate putting rules up here, but there has to be rules for everything, because for some reason some people don't have something called 'self control and respect'. But thank you all for joining anyway, and I thank even more of you who actually follow these rules whilst being on the fourm.
Cheers,
Gypsybelle
